Chocolate Pudding Pie Recipe – A chocolate lovers dream!

We were invite to a dinner at my parent’s house last weekend. Some of our family members were in town for the weekend. This was a last-minute get together, and I thought it was going to be on Sunday, but it was really on Saturday. Oops! I wanted to bring a great dessert and even had a snickers cake picked out. But now I didn’t have time to make it.

I had to come up with something fast. One of my family’s favorite desserts is my pudding pie. This is really the easiest pie you will ever make and it takes only a few ingredients. This is a basic recipe that a beginning baker can make.

I threw the pie and an appetizer together in less than an hour, and the only reason it took so long was because I took pictures along the way.

As always, the pie was a huge hit. The pie was gone in less than 15 minutes. Unfortunately for the little kids at the party, they were downstairs when we cut into the pie. They never even got 1 piece! I should know better than to only make one of these pies.

Here are the step-by-step instructions (full recipe at the bottom):

Chocolate Pudding Pie
The Accidental Cook

You will need 3.9 oz box of chocolate pudding, 8 oz container of Cool Whip, 1-1/2 cups milk, 1/2 package of oreo cookies, 1/4 cup melted butter

Crush oreos in a Ziploc bag until they are very small crumbs.

Melt butter in medium bowl and add oreo crumbs to bowl. Mix until all crumbs are moist.

Press crumbs to the bottom and sides of a regular pie pan.

Place pudding mix into medium bowl.

Pour milk into pudding and combine using a whisk.

Divide the pudding in half and add half to the bottom of the pie crust, leaving the other half in the bowl.

Divide the thawed Cool Whip in half and add half to the remaining pudding in the bowl.

Fold the Cool Whip into the pudding to create a lighter pudding mixture.

Spread the lighter pudding layer over the top of the bottom layer.

Spread the remaining Cool Whip on the top of the pie and add some grated chocolate (optional).

Jan, I will send you a link to print it. My website isn’t setup to print just the recipes. I will post it on Allrecipes.com and send you the link. They have a great tool to print recipes in whatever size you need.
